Proxy Ping Server for MS SBS 4.5 TTFN Proxy ping and tracert service. Microsoft Proxy Server 2 does not allow ICMP packets to pass as used in ping and tracert therefore this service allows you to use them. Limitations This server will only work every other time you try it. Install To install copy ppingserver.exe into a directory on the proxy server machine Open a console prompt and type ppingserver.exe -install Then start the service Copy pping.exe and ptracert.exe onto a client machine and use them as you would normal versions. Remove On the server open a console prompt and type ppingserver.exe -remove Delete the file.
